About Me

Hi, I’m Eva — a home cook, food blogger, and mom of three, and I’m so happy you’re here.

I’ve always believed that the kitchen is the heart of every home. It’s where stories are told, love is served, and memories are made — not just meals. I was lucky to grow up in a home where food wasn’t just about recipes, it was about connection. My mom was a natural in the kitchen — creative, calm, and full of love. She homeschooled me while our family moved from country to country, following my dad’s international work in the hospitality world. From Morocco to Italy to Southeast Asia, every place left its flavor on my heart and on my plate.

We didn’t stay in one place for long, but no matter where we landed, the kitchen was always the constant. I learned to count in grams and cups. History came alive through the dishes we made. And I saw how food could bridge cultures, comfort sadness, and celebrate joy.

Later, after I got married, I stepped into the 9-to-5 world. I worked in admin and customer service — the kind of stable, structured jobs that made sense on paper. But deep down, I missed the creativity, the messiness, and the magic of cooking. I missed telling stories through food. The more time I spent behind a desk, the more I realized I wasn’t built for office life — I was built for oven mitts, handwritten recipes, and food photos taken in natural light.

So I made a change. I left the office, picked up my camera, and came back to the kitchen — for good.

Now, I live in New York City with my husband and our three wonderful kids:

  • Lily (15), our organized baker and quiet note-taker,
  • Noah (12), our savory food lover and honest taste tester, and
  • Emma (9), our tiny whirlwind who always wants the mixing spoon.

Our home is warm and lived-in. The kitchen counter is often dusted with flour, the sink full of measuring cups, and the air smells like something good is coming out of the oven. This is where I test recipes, take photos, write stories — and now, share them with you.

Noted Recipes is more than just a food blog. It’s my digital recipe box — full of easy, family-friendly meals that bring comfort, joy, and togetherness. The kind of recipes you make when the day was long, or when your kid asks for “that chicken thing you made last time,” or when you want to surprise a neighbor with something sweet and thoughtful.

You won’t find complicated techniques or fancy plating here. What you will find is heart. Warmth. Simplicity. And recipes your family will ask for again and again.

If you love handwritten recipe cards, second servings, cozy dinners, and photos that feel real — welcome. You’ve found your place.

Thanks for being here. I hope you stay a while.

With love and cinnamon-sugar hands,
Eva
